Nur mal ein Überblick:

Der erste Absatz ("You can also get free NHS dental treatment if, ...

") zählt die Möglichkeiten auf, wann man kostenlose Behandlung bekommen kann (bis: "you're named on a valid HC2 certificate = wenn Sie auf einer gültigen HC2 Bescheinigung genannt werden").

Bei Nennung auf einem 'HC3 certificate' muss man nur einen Teil zahlen.

Näheres zur jeweiligen Berechtigung kann "unten" auf der Website einer Einkommenstabelle (NHS Low Income Scheme) entnommen werden .

Dem Zahnarzt ist eine Bescheinigung vorzulegen, dass man berechtigt ( = entitled) ist, Hilfe für die Behandlungskosten zu bekommen.

Die angegebene Tabelle mit den Einkommensgrenzen (NHS Low Income Scheme) zeigt, in welchem Ausmaß jemand, der nicht grundsätzlich kostenbefreit ist, evtl.

- einkommensabhängig - Unterstützung bekommt.

Es gibt allerdings eine Vermögensobergrenze (Ersparnisse und sonstige Anlagen), die in England bei £16,000 (bzw. £23,250 bei dauernder Pflegeheim-Unterbringung) liegt.

Ob ein Hilfeanspruch vorliegt, hängt vom wöchentlichen Einkommen zur Zeit des Antrags und den geschätzten Behandlungskosten ab.

Die Festlegung der Höhe der Hilfe folgt im Wesentlichen (= broadly follows) den Regelungen für die Sozialleistung 'Income Support'.

Bitte auch noch übersetzen:

I work for an NHS (weiß Bescheid was das ist) dental surgery (Zahnchirurgie?) and no, you don't get free treatment if you're a pensioner (man bekommt keine kostenlose Zahnbehandlung als Rentner) unless (außer) you get a pension credit / top up.

was ist ein pension credit und top up in diesem Zusammenhang?

Bitte um kurze Übersetzung

Eye tests, I don't know.

Dental treatment I do know.

It has just cost me £270 because I don't get what is called guaranteed Pension credit.

This is a bit tricky to explain, I do get Pension credit but it is pension savings credit, because I saved a bit I get the credit as I have saved some money and collect interest on that money, (a sort of reward from the government) previously this was just classed as pension credit and I was entitled to all this free stuff.

It was changed recently I have to pay for all my treatment NHS prices or even more.

It is very difficult to find a NHS dentist because the government have to 'grant' them a contract , so they go private, they can charge whatever the feel like charging!

And they do.

I assume the eye test thing will be along the same lines.

Was genau bezeichtet "Pension Credit" und "Guaranteed Pension Credit?"

Ich möchte auf die o.g.

Actually I really don't know why.

I guess I just spent too much time at work and at school over the past few years.

I never felt alone or desperate, until last winter at least..

that was the time when I realized how much time has gone by already.

Hallo, leider sorgt ein Programmfehler auf dieser Seite dafür, dass in der Überschriftzeile der Text abgeschnitten wird, sobald man einen Apostroph setzt.

Zur Antwort folgende Anmerkungen:

1) Nach "Actually" sollte hier ein Komma folgen.

2) Schöner wäre es, hinter "at least" einen Punkt zu setzen und dann einen neuen Satz zu beginnen.

3) Nach "it's about time" kann keine "ing-Form" folgen.

Es kann heißen "it's about time to find s.o."

oder "it's about time I find s.o."
